Tags, digests, and icons
Tags are names you choose (v1, latest). Digests (sha256:…) identify the bytes. Shared layers are reused automatically on the next pull.
Image management is the digest table (media type, OS/ARCH, size, last pushed, last pulled, status) plus the filesystem layer stack when you expand a row. Tags is the named-tag list with pull commands. They are different views of the same push. Open a repository such as moghanama/hello-v1 for General, Tags, Image Management, Collaborators, Webhooks, and Settings.
A hello image that is only FROM ubuntu and CMD is not six copies of your app. Ubuntu itself is several compressed filesystem layers. CMD is an empty history instruction and does not add a layer. MoDPR counts filesystem diffs only and labels CMD/ENV/EXPOSE as metadata — clearer than a Hub tags list that mixes 2 kB config blobs with real layers.
Site logo and image icons
The site logo is the circular sealed-crate mark plus the text MoDPR hub in the top bar and in the signed-in sidebar. The same mark is the browser tab icon. The crate is a container end (two doors, locking bars, corner fittings); the padlock is the private registry; the play keyhole is Start on this host.
- Well-known public images (nginx, Redis, PostgreSQL, …) show that project’s official mark. The image name is used, not the tag suffix —
redis:7-alpineis Redis, not Alpine. - Images you push to this registry show the MoDPR image icon (the sealed crate on the Hub teal tile) on the repository card or table row.
Third-party marks belong to their owners and appear only to identify the software. See Trademarks.
